With television on the rise, a desperate theatre owner considers a deal with the mob to stay afloat.

Broadway icon Gloria Grant takes center stage in the theatrical production of The Show Must Go On! We find she is losing her theater because TV is really taking off and people are staying home for entertainment. And frankly she’s no good with money. Her landlord, Mr. Birnbaum, is giving her and her assistant Annabelle just one week to vacate, so her longtime friend, burlesque dancer Lily Blooms, suggests she talk to her boss, Big Tony, and his henchman, Armando. As the name implies, Big Tony is a mob boss, and in fact has a crush on the famous Broadway star. Everyone does all they can to save her theater but will it be enough? What will happen to the Gloria Grant Theater? Will Big Tony be able to help her? Will Armando ever learn English?
